the idea

  • The mission of FRANK BERLIN is to inspire individuals to overcome fear and embrace personal growth, mental well-being and self-discovery. We strive to create a supportive community where people can explore their inner selves, foster resilience and embark on a journey towards healing and self-improvement. Through education, empowerment and advocacy, we aim to break down barriers surrounding mental health and promote a culture of openness, understanding and compassion. At FRANK BERLIN, we believe that by confronting fear with courage and authenticity, individuals can unlock their true potential and lead fulfilling lives.

Mental health is a topic that has been increasingly finding its way into our lives since Covid. Dealing with the topic we came to understand that it is not only about clinical illnesses but about the general well being of all our minds. Mental health starts with emotions like fear which is a completely natural reaction of the human body. Identifying fear as an ordinary thing rather than a shameful enemy, is one of the life changing lessons we learnt on our journey. We felt the importance to share and educate as many people as we can reach.

That was the moment we created Frank Berlin.

  • FRANK BERLIN is now led by a small international team of eight individuals. With roots spanning across Bulgaria, Greece, Hong Kong, Germany, South Korea, Turkey and Kosovo. We are united by our shared passion for promoting mental health awareness, personal development and self-reflection. Despite our different backgrounds and locations, we work collaboratively to fulfill FRANK BERLIN's mission of inspiring others to overcome fear and embark on a journey of healing and growth. Within our team, we prioritize mutual support and collaboration.

  • When searching for a name we ultimately decided on FRANK because it somehow conveys a lot of aspects that we are looking to connect to our mission. Frank is a super common name so when seeing our label, most people ask „So, who is Frank?“, we would say, none of us is called Frank, there is also no muse we are naming our brand after. Frank is every person who is dealing with mental health. Frank is you, Frank is us, Frank are our customers, Frank is everyone out there. Because anyone who has a brain, has a mental health. Whether they are healthy or traumatized or are dealing with depression. Mental health problems are everywhere and concern everyone but still the society speaks so little about it. So Frank is all of us.

But also „frank” is a synonym for „open and direct” which is the core of our values. Our mission in the mental health department is to start an honest conversation. Our goal is to contribute to normalize talking about mental health topics.

THE TEAM

NIDA Temaj

FOUNDER

Nida, 26, is the founder of FRANK BERLIN. She has struggled with social anxiety, panic attacks, feelings of not being good enough and negative thoughts for many years (and still does— the journey is long!). Originally from Kosovo, raised in Berlin and now calling Switzerland home, her multicultural background has shaped her identity and fueled her passion for fostering community and connections across cultures. This experience has shaped who she is and her desire to build deep connections with others. In the words of Irvin D. Yalom, “Children of immigrants feel like lilies growing in a swamp—beautiful flowers, but without solid roots.”

She has over four years of depth-oriented psychotherapy experience herself and views FRANK BERLIN as a form of self-therapy. Her mission with FRANK BERLIN is not only to raise awareness about mental health topics but also to help people take their first steps toward personal development, self-reflection and healing. FRANK BERLIN aims to inspire with the motto INSPIRED BY FEAR, focusing on placing fear at the center of the conversation. Through this, she seeks to create a community of like-minded individuals who feel called to make the world a (slightly) better place.

Nida’s love for travel inspires her to explore questions about identity and cultural diversity. She is also deeply interested in design, art and psychology, all of which influence her work and vision for FRANK BERLIN.

It's Tuchy!! (or Tuğçe if you're in the mood for business) She is 26 years-old and a master's student in Germany. If you want to talk about gaming, anime or cinema you can easily distract her from doing what's she's supposed to be doing. And she always has something she's supposed to be doing. In her free times she sleeps or looks at the pictures of her cat. If you find her in a silly mood, she will share her deepest secrets with you. Berna is 25-year-old and currently wrapping up her Bachelor's in Germany. She’s passionate about music, photography, learning new languages, and loves sushi (seriously, she might be thinking about sushi right now). Not a big talker, but if you get her going, she’s all ears and always ready to listen to you. Mental health became her focus after moving abroad—she realized just how significant it is for all of us. For Frank Berlin, she’s the one who makes sure the content is fun, engaging, and something everyone can relate to. Also, catch her snapping cool shots or trying to master a new language when she’s not plotting her next sushi run!

  • Laura Andrea Torres Martínez

    SOCIAL MEDIA

    COLOMBIA

Laura is 28 and lives in Bogotá, Colombia. She’s passionate about telling stories, no matter when or where. Now, she’s exploring the possibility of talking about her own mental health after years of therapy. She enjoys sharing her experiences to connect with people who might be going through the same things and to break the taboo in a culture like hers, where, as that famous song from Encanto (Disney’s movie about Colombia) says: we don’t talk about Bruno. She also finds joy in life’s simple pleasures, like the touch of water on her body when she swims, tending to the plants in her home, or feeling the sun warm her cheeks in her tropical country.

Let’s work together.

Thinking about joining us or just curious about what we do? No pressure, no rush—just drop us a message.

We are looking for individuals who want to connect and share their experiences with us. Whether you’re a therapist, psychology student, artist or someone passionate about mental health, your insights and stories matter to us.
